Ok I was just wondering if anyone has heard of or knows of people being able to view profiles that a set to private? I mean I'm sure that people with a lot of skills can hack in, but is there a way that you could go around the privacy thing? Like a code or something people can use to override it? As far as I'm aware, there are no hacks or work-arounds to view your private myspace. I'm 100% sure that nobody but your friends and administrators can see or do anything to your myspace page if it's set to private.

This is because your page isn't 'hidden' to the public, but rather that the page isn't even shown to the public. A totally different page gets shown to people who aren't on your friends list which doesn't contain any personal information on, or anything to do with you, in fact.

I honestly don't think that there's a way to do that......when I set mine to private, it means no one that is not on your friends list is able to enter it. I would suggest to create a second profile of your own with a good lookin guy so they won't know it's you and she'll add the guy (you)......and then you'll have access to everything that she has available........sneaky I know, but oh well! Shouldn't be screwin w/ya! But at the same time, they messed w/you....is what you're planning a little like what they did to you?? Because that would make them no worse than you!

I don't really know if you will be able to get into their profile when it's private... but this is what i would do... i would make a new profile... with someones picture that they don't know and fill out all the if in a way that would interest them... then send them a message and try to be there friend... and if they accept you as a friend than you will be able to get into their profile and see all their stuff.... this might not have been what you were looking for but this is the way i would do it.

You absolutely have to be on their friends list to see their comments. Without hacking or doing anything illegal, that is the only way. If you are friends with any of their friends that you can trust, get them to look for you. Other than that, you can create a fake profile of your own and see if you can get on their friends list that way. Not that I would advise it, you're then doing what they did, but it's the only other way I know - I know several people that have done this.

Universities don't and won't look at EVRYONE's profile...While it is not smart anyway to have pics of you doing things that are illegal or unflattering on your profiles, If they were to check Universities would check profiles of high profile students or if they get a tip that they should check that person out. I don't know how to hack photobucket, but I do know that photobucket has an agreement where you can't put pictures of people on there unless you have their permission. My suggestion is you contact photobucket, and explain that this ex friend of yours has put pictures of you on there without her consent. They will likely ask for her email addy or username so they can identify her. This won't get her into big trouble or anything, but they will terminate her account, thus deleting all of her pictures.

Yes, you can set an entire album to private. To do so, you click on "friends" "public" "private under your album, and select the one you'd like.

Friends- Friends can see only

Public - Friends %26amp; Non-friends

Private - You only.

If you want a certain photo private, but want it as a default image.

You just create a separate new album, upload the image into there, default it, and click "private". Good Luck.

Some people set their privacy settings on their albums to be Private, which makes it viewable ONLY by them. There isn't a way for you to view the pictures unless you ask that person to change their settings.

Some people set their albums to private, so you may not see the pictures. There is a control where you get to set it to either Public, Friends, or Private.

I have only one main DIV, optimized for 1280*1024. Is there a way to set this div so that is doesn't cut off if the screen is smaller.

For instance, when I view my page with a sidebar open on the left (google desktop for instance) it cuts off, as if the lettering was there.

Also, I would like to make a right-alligned div, and I am not sure how.

You can't view a private profile unless you're on his friend list. If I were you I would send him a friend request and see what happens. If he wants to come back to live with you then he would accept it with no hesitation! That will be your test.

When that particular person attempts to view your page, it just says that your page is set to private like the usual private display does. It doesn't say "this person has blocked you" or anything like that. They don't get a notification message saying that you blocked them either. They'll just get deleted from your friends list and not be able to send you a message.

Also, if they get 100 blocks from 100 different users, their account is automatically deleted.

She will be informed that she is blocked from being able to see your profile, but if she logs out and she will be able to view your profile.

When your page is set to public, then everybody can see it, blocked or unblocked. When your page is set to private, only people on your friends list may look at it. But blocking someone only makes them unable to contact you...I can relate, hun! Annoying people just won't stay away from my page!!!!

That is not true. They may look at your myspace account, but if you have nothing to hide then don't worry about it. It was on Oprah the other day that people were questioning the content on some of the facebook accounts. They were posting pictures of themselfs drunk and passed out and hugging the toilet. Just go to the Myspace Profile Editor %26amp; design your profile there; that is how those people do it.

Steer clear of 'trackers' unless you want to take a good chance your password will be compromised and your account used to spam other accounts.

The only 'trackers' that kind-of work are the ones that require other people to also have a 'tracker' of the same type on their computer as well. So it's pretty much impossible to find out if someone is looking at your profile without them knowing you want to know if they are looking at your profile. And the trade-off is that they will ALSO be able to track you. =P

So unless you can convince the person somehow to get a 'tracker' like the one you use and don't mind them knowing... save yourself a lot of trouble and don't bother with them. Almost all of them are scams of one sort or another or operate like viruses (they automatically make comments on your friend's pages to get the tracker you use.)

When I put a comment/message/addme button on myspace it never works when people try to use it. And when I don't put my comments on private it will only let people view them and not comment them. Comment boxes won't work either. People can only comment me when I comment them or message them 1st. I don't like the look of the display box that shows all the buttons to contact me. And if I let it show it probly wouldn't work wither. How do I fix that?

It could either be taking a while to process or your age is set lower than 18 years. Your age has to be set to 18 years or older for your profile to be able to be public.

There is a person that I DESPERATELY need to find more information about, and this person has their profile set to private, so obviously, I can't view it.

If you don't have both already, I suggest Facebook. Neither of them are dangerous if you're a smart user (make your profile private, don't post EVERY little detail about your life), but Facebook is better because spammers can't get to it as easily as MySpace. It also has great features and it's really organized. If you don't know html code, it's easy to figure out. (To really do anything on MySpace, you should learn html code to add cool stuff to your profile).

Nope, there aren't any real trackers on MySpace or Facebook. As long as you're just looking at their profile and don't click links, you're fine. All the trackers out there are fake. I don't really think you should be spying on people but yeah, you're safe lol

To "Poke" someone on Facebook is the lazy person's way of saying hi without having to write them a real message. Instead of sending someone a message, just Poke them and it's like "hi, I'm thinking about you (not in a creepy stalker way) but I don't want to write you a message so I'm poking you instead."

Niether are dangerous. I think facebook is LESS dangerous. Facebook is an easier site in my opinion, like easier to create an account and more fun, there's lots of fun applications to check out. I have accounts on both Facebook and Myspace. Personally I rarely ever use Facebook, due to the fact I am out to meet new people from around the world and Facebook is rather limited in that fact, can only add if you "know" the person. Myspace is ok, but recently found Yuwie (http://r.yuwie.com/americanann) which is where I hang out now. In my personal opinion people seem to be friendlier there compared to Myspace. IMPORTANT:

There was a security breach at MySpace. The MySpace team are working to fix it. During the breach, all the email addresses and passwords were stolen, so when you get back into MySpace you have to change your password. Also, if you use the same password to access your email you have to change it ASAP. There was a message on there about this earlier on, but it's since been changed to the one that's now displaying. I guess they don't want to bad publicity!
