Ok I was just wondering if anyone has heard of or knows of people being able to view profiles that a set to private? I mean I'm sure that people with a lot of skills can hack in, but is there a way that you could go around the privacy thing? Like a code or something people can use to override it? Because I don't believe that the only people looking at my profile are my friends but I don't know I might just be paranoid.

As far as I'm aware, there are no hacks or work-arounds to view your private myspace. I'm 100% sure that nobody but your friends and administrators can see or do anything to your myspace page if it's set to private.

This is because your page isn't 'hidden' to the public, but rather that the page isn't even shown to the public. A totally different page gets shown to people who aren't on your friends list which doesn't contain any personal information on, or anything to do with you, in fact.

I personally prefer Yuniti, they make it a lot quicker and easier to show/hide parts of your profile.

2) click Edit Profile (on the top) near the main pic (if you have one)

3) click Basic Info

4) change the age by the year, so if you set as Feb 20, 1987, myspace will display your age as 20 yrs old.

your network of friends is the people on your friends list. that is how big your network....everyone else is in your 'extended network'.....if someone has their profile set to 'private' you will most likely be able to see it only if they are on your friends list...if they are not set to 'private,' you can look at virtually anybody's profile...but i've never heard of someone being on your friends list and their profile being private...you can however, mark your photos and blogs private from everyone including your friends.

However, it really is pointless considering Tom is everyone's friend, and even if you delete him, odds are one of your friends hasn't. So you're in everyone's network on myspace thanks to Tom.

PS- you can only view a private profile if that person is Your friend.
