If its private only their friends can view them. I don't believe there is a way to view them otherwise. Thats why mine are also set as private.

you cant, thats why its private. but you can create a random profile and send them a friend request. and program that claims to let you do this is a phisher

If this happens, be sure to contact the myspace administrators and tell them.

either that, or just message the person and cuss them out (worked for me).
